Story
A super fast download from my ancestors after I got news that a favorite aunt had died. I suspect they wanted to reassure all of us… it’s all good on both sides of the celestial divide. When I sang the song at her internment, it was a windy and rainy day. I just needed to get through the song without losing it, so I paid no attention to my surroundings!
When I got to the line "How glad we are to share this new time with you, generations gathered, here we all are together...", the wind stopped, and I intensely felt their presence. After the service, I looked around, and indeed, they were all there - the graves of my cousins' ancestors as well as mine. My mom and dad were 15 feet from where I stood. What an exquisite experience!

Lyrics
Breathe (For Jeannie)
Welcome to the other side
Where now you are free
We watched and smiled while
You lived your life well
Now breathe
Come into our open arms
Let us hold you tight
We know you long
To feel their earthly touch
But now this is what is right
You’ll learn that love transcends
Yes they’ll mourn and you’ll know and see
Though some things can be done
And you love them even more
We patiently wait their destiny
How glad we are to share
This new time with you
Generations gathered
Here we all are together
Many you never even knew
We’ve felt your living sorrows
We were right by your side
Never left you alone
We cushioned with our love
Cause life plays out unexpectedly
CHORUS
Welcome to the other side
Where now you are free
Welcome to the other side
Now Breathe, Breathe
Breathe, Breathe
